Search for suspects continues in Pine Lawn murder case

PINE LAWN, MO (KPLR) – The Major Case Squad is investigating the death of a young teen in Pine Lawn.

The North County Cooperative got a call for a shooting in a 6300 block of Dardanella around 5:30 P.M. Monday.

When they arrived they found a 15-year-old Jirah Campbell dead in the street.

The victim lived just down the street from where he got shot. Neighbors and family members described the victim as a well-behaved kid who went to school, did yard work, and played with his dog.

Witnesses heard six or seven shots before police arrived on scene.

Right now police are looking for an orange Dodge Charger that they believe was involved in the shooting. The driver of the vehicle was believed to be a black female with braided hair.

The suspect was described as an African-American man in his late teens or early 20s, standing 5'9" or 5'10", weighing 140 to 150 pounds.

Police and the victim’s mother are asking the communities for help in this case.
