Adults found passed out, with infant in back seat, after smoking synthetic drug

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – A St. Louis couple faces child endangerment and drug charges after police say they were found passed out in a hot car with the couple’s premature 2 week old infant in the back seat.

Police say 20-year-old Blake Wolz, and Kelsie Smith, 19, were found Friday night in the 5400 block of north Kingshighway, after what police say, they had been smoking synthetic cannabinoid.

Both Wolz and Smith have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs and possession of a synthetic cannabinold.

Police say the car was running without air conditioning with the rear windows rolled up and the front windows cracked, while the temperature outside was 84 degrees.
