ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Warren and Carol Reckmeyer and their world famous jerseys are back!

You may not recognize their face, but you know them from behind.

A picture snapped of the two walking side by side to a San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals game last season went viral. Warren, a die-hard Cardinals fan was wearing his Cards jersey. The name and number on his back, “Together 19”.  Carol was wearing the jersey of her favorite team, the Giants, with the name and number “Since 52.” Together, the backs of their jersey’s read, “Together Since 1952.”

“Our daughter called and said, oh 15,000 people have seen you already, the next phone call, 450,000 people have seen you already and then it just snowballed,” said Carol Reckmeyer.

The photo appeared in papers and on television all across the world.

Because of it, the two were asked to throw the first pitch at the Giants Cardinals game Saturday night.

"I never expected to do that and I’m in therapy so I didn't even know if it would get out of my hand,” Warren Reckmeyer said.

It was a 64th wedding anniversary gift, along with suits seats, from the Cardinal’s organization and Bank of America for being two memorable baseball fans.

Bank of America is the official bank of Major League Baseball.

Its new national campaign encourages baseball super-fans to share their most memorable moments.
