Lambert airport officials hope travelers will appreciate art collection

(KPLR) - Lambert St. Louis International Airport is amassing an impressive collection of contemporary art that is capturing the attention of the 35,000 travelers that pass through the airport on a daily basis. There are panoramic pictures from the prominent Sievers Collection, which depicts St. Louis during the early 20th century. A new collection of two dimensional photographs that showcase the City's unique architecture by St. Louis based photographer Ken Kenchel. There is also an art gallery at Lambert that tells the story of Daniel Boone and the Westward Expansion. While some of the pieces are permanent. Others will be on display for a few weeks.
