One of the last surviving St. Louis Arch construction workers dies

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - One of the last surviving construction workers of the St. Louis Gateway Arch has died, 80-year-old Dean Sample .

Mr. Sample spoke with FOX 2 numerous times about his work on the Arch. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 396 here in St. Louis.

He died just a month after his wife. His daughter tells FOX 2 that he died from conditions related to Alzheimer's and a broken heart.
