Woman in her 20s shot, killed after argument in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - An argument between women lead to a deadly late night shooting in south St. Louis.

A 26-year-old African-American woman was shot and killed around 9:45 p.m. The shooting happened near the intersection of Dakota and Pennsylvania Avenue in the city's Mount Pleasant neighborhood. The woman was shot several times, including possibly in the face and chest.

Witnesses tell police they heard two people arguing, then heard four gunshots.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she died a short time later. Her name has not been released at this time.
