ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - For more than 80 years, Variety the Children’s Charity of St. Louis has helped thousands of children with disabilities say “I can” by providing them with vital medical equipment, as well as educational, therapeutic, and recreational programs. An international leader in fundraising, Variety the Children’s Charity also distributes grants to 71 qualified partner agencies throughout the St. Louis area to fund programs and/or services that have a direct impact on the lives of children with physical and mental disabilities.

This morning, Fox 2/KPLR 11  and Variety are teaming up to set up a donation call center. All proceeds pledged through the call center will go to Variety and the children with disabilities they help. This morning, Variety hopes to raise $10,000 for their programs.

Patrons who donate $65 will receive a Mezzanine ticket to the 50th annual Dinner with the Stars show. This year's event features superstar icon Lionel Richie. The Dinner with the Stars event will take place April 16 at the Peabody Opera House. The show is already sold out, so donating is the only way to get a seat. Those who donate over $65 can pick up their tickets to the show at will call.
