1 killed, 2 injured in St. Peters crash

ST. PETERS, MO (KPLR) – At least one person was killed Monday night in a crash in St. Peters.  It happened shortly before 8 p.m. near I-70 and Cave Springs on Veteran's Memorial Parkway.

St. Peters Police say a male was killed, and two more people were transported to a hospital, one in critical condition.  The male who was killed and the person transported in critical were riding in the same vehicle.

The crash involved two vehicles, a white sedan and a red jeep.

Officials were not releasing more details, including the age of the victims, pending notification of next of kin.  The crash took place right in front of Hooter's Restaurant.

Central County Fire & Rescue and St. Charles County Ambulance were among the agencies that responded.

Veteran's Memorial Parkway, which is essentially the service road on the south side of I-70, was closed just west of Cave Springs temporarily.
