Man charged in Friday night stabbing

(KPLR) – An O’Fallon, Missouri, man has been charged with stabbing a teen-ager playing football Thursday.  St. Charles county prosecutors have charged 31-year-old James Mann with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

The attack took place in the Pin Oak Mobile Home Park.

Witnesses say a man walked up to the group and started saying some inappropriate things about a girlfriend.

One of the boys said they talked to the suspect for about 30 seconds and when it looked like the suspect punched one of them in the jaw.

The victim grabbed his neck, saw the blood, and realized he had been stabbed.

Bond for James Mann has been set at $250,000 dollars.
