Report: Police shoot armed robber inside south St. Louis KFC

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Police shot and killed a man after being called to a south St. Louis Kentucky Fried Chicken for a report of a robbery.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports that the officer involved shooting happened just after 6pm inside the restaurant at the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Gravois Avenue.  The suspect was armed according to the newspaper report.

A march to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. was held in the area earlier Sunday evening. A large area has now been blocked off by police tape.  A crowd is now in the area watching the police activity.

Police say that no officers were injured in the shooting.
