PULASKI COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- The flooding this weekend in Missouri and Illinois has now claimed at least 11 lives.

Pulaski County Sheriff Ronald Long said six people died in two different accidents where cars were driving through floodwaters and were swept away. Specifics of the incidents haven't been released pending notification of next of kin, but Sheriff Long says in one case two people were in a single vehicle and four were in another. Authorities are still searching for a fifth person who was in the second incident vehicle.

Five people died near Patoka, IL late Saturday when swollen East Fork Creek carried a vehicle traveling from Kentucky to Minnesota  off a bridge.
