WENTZVILLE, MO (KPLR) - Relief in Wentzville Monday morning as the United Auto Workers Union and General Motors reached a tentative agreement on a new contract. The deal came just before a midnight strike deadline.
The UAW says union leaders will meet in Detroit on Wednesday to vote on the agreement.
If they approve, the rank-and-file members will then vote.
Approximately 3,500 union members work at the GM plant in Wentzville where they make the Chevy Colorado pickup and full-sized vans.
