MoDOT to resurface part of Chouteau this week

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Beginning Thursday, the Missouri Department of Transportation will close a nearly two-mile stretch of Chouteau Avenue in south city for resurfacing work.

According to Andrew Gates, a MoDOT spokesman, workers will close off small sections of the roadway between S. Spring Avenue and S. Broadway. The work will be conducted on weeknights between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., weather permitting.

Each section will be closed for two nights under the following tentative schedule:

• September 24-25: Spring to Compton
• September 26 and 28: Compton to Jefferson
• September 29-30: Jefferson to 14th Street
• October 1-2: 14th Street to Broadway
