1 dead, 2 injured in related north St. Louis shootings

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)- Police are investigating two overnight shootings in north St. Louis.

Homicide detectives are busy piecing together what led to three people being shot in the Baden Neighborhood. The crime scenes happened just blocks away from each other. Authorities say, they are connected. Police say two men were shot in the 8400 block of Newby Street around 10p.m. Tuesday. One victim was shot in the stomach and the other was shot in the leg.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown.

Shortly after, a person in their late teens was found shot outside in the 1200 block of McLaran. That victim died.

There are no suspects at this time.

The victims have yet to be identified.
