ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KPLR) – Monday evening Michael Brown protesters shut down Interstate 70 in both directions for a half hour during rush hour.  Protesters stopped traffic between Route 141 and the Blanchette Bridge.

The action was part of a day of civil disobedience for the Michael Brown Commemorative Weekend. Several of the protesters were arrested following linking hands and displaying barriers saying, “Ferguson is everywhere”.

After a half hour of protest, the Missouri Highway Patrol broke up the protest and restored travel on the interstate.

As night fell in Ferguson, Elliott Davis spoke to a Ferguson State Representative about the State of Emergency in Ferguson and tense calm in the air.
