O’Fallon man accused of pointing shotgun at city worker

O’FALLON, IL (KPLR) – The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged a 43-year-old O’Fallon, Missouri man for allegedly pointing a firearm at a city code enforcement officer.

According to the O’Fallon Police Department, the incident occurred Thursday, August 6 around 2:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Highway P.

The city worker told police he was sitting inside a city vehicle, taking pictures of a home as a follow-up on a trash report. The worker said the homeowner, identified as Brian Hoeckelmann, came out and pointed a shotgun at him.

Hoeckelmann was charged with unlawful use of a weapon. He remains jailed on $10,000 bond.
