ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-  It's Friday and Alan Miller from the Riverfront Times shared some big events happened around town this weekend!

The Grove Criterium: August 1, 2015 1-7:30pm
Come watch cyclists whip around corners at high speeds, with wheels only fractions of inches apart throughout 1.2 miles in The Grove. ' There`s never a dull moment as a leader emerges from the pack of riders only to be absorbed back in and another rider to take his place. The event and the food, live music, and beer garden are sponsored by Urban Chestnut Brewing Company.

Pins and Needles: 8.1.15 - The Boo Cat Club
This Saturday at the Boo Cat Club on Union Blvd, competing designers will showcase their collections and will be judged by a panel of fashion experts. The grand prize package is valued at over $15,000. The six designers showcasing their looks in this year`s competition are Rene Frances, Alexis Cook, Isaiah Jenkins, Ryan Moore, Brittany Rader and Barbara Bultman. Hosting this years Designer Competition is Gabrielle Kniery and Nina Blanco. Charity sponsor is The St. Louis Fashion Fund.  VIP will open at 6pm and GA at 7pm with the the Underground Runway coming to life at 8pm. Tickets are available at http://www.brainchildevents.com.

St. Louis Craft Beer Week is a celebration of St. Louis` unparalleled history of beer in the United States. Enjoy the last three days of craft beer activities around St. Louis.

UCBC Oktoberfest in July: 7.31.15 - 5pm-10pm (Midtown)
Live Music by Larry Hallar. Stein Holding contests at 5:30 and 7:30.

Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash sponsored by Boulevard - 8.1.15 - 6-11 PM
Atomic Cowboy will be hosting multiple musical acts on their patio to celebrate Jerry Garcia`s birthday.
