ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – The St. Louis Cardinals played host at Busch Stadium on Tuesday to the National Play Campaign to promote the importance of children living a healthy and active lifestyle.

‘Play’ is a national public awareness campaign of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society. The organization hosts events in all 30 Major League ballparks on healthy eating, injury prevention, strength training, and conditioning.

It also educates about the dangers of illegal performance enhancing drugs.

Last year, the National Play Campaign became the first program in professional sports to include children with disabilities.
