ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – St. Louis County Police arrested a bank robber Wednesday afternoon at Reavis Barracks Road and Union. They said a police K-9 was key in capturing the suspect.

The male suspect entered the US Bank and demanded money around 4:30 p.m., according to police. The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash, leaving some sort of package in the bank.

St. Louis County Bomb and Arson was called the bank to investigate the package. Investigators quickly determined that the package was not dangerous.

The suspect was pursued by police to a farmhouse, where a police dog took the suspect down.

The suspect was bitten in the neck. Police officers used towels to stop blood from pouring out of the suspect’s neck.

The suspect has been taken into custody and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

No further information on the suspect has been released.
