ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KPLR) – It is a heartbreaking case that has police working around the clock and a small community devastated and on the edge.

Police released these surveillance pictures of the man they believe molested the little girl after they got a description of him from her.

The child told authorities she became uncomfortable when the strange man seemed to brush up against her twice Friday afternoon inside a Shop ‘n’ Save grocery store on Lemay Ferry Road near Telegraph.

Surveillance video shows the man followed the girl and her family when they left the store`s parking lot in this small two door black car; then managed to get inside their home where he woke the child then molested her in the middle of the night.

They also say the man threatened to kill the girl and her two brothers who were in the room when she was attacked if they didn`t keep quiet.  The children were so afraid, that the man was still in the house, they didn`t tell their mother what happened until the following morning after they were in the car driving to get something to eat.  The mother called 911 and rushed her daughter to the hospital, where it was determined she had been sexually assaulted.  People who live and work in the close knit community are devastated by the incident and are on alert.
