ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR)-It's the mission of Cinema St. Louis to promote the art through its Filmmakers Showcase, St. Louis International Film Festival, screenings, programs, and educational opportunities. This year’s St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase will be held July 19 through the 23. The Showcase screens works that were written, directed, edited, or produced by St. Louis natives or films with strong local ties.
In 2015, fifteen films will be screened at the Tivoli in the Delmar Loop. The programs range from full-length fiction features and documentaries to multi-film compilations of fiction and documentary shorts. Click here for the 2015 St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase schedule.
New digital technology makes it possible for anyone to produce movies. If you want to learn more about the film-making industry without going to film school, then Midwest Filmmaker Workshops are for you.
The upcoming workshop, “The Art and Science of Directing,” will feature Philip Adrian Booth, a British born filmmaker who’s experience spans over 25 years as Director, Cinematographer, Editor and Scriptwriter.
It will be held at Fat Chimp Studios on Walton Road. Saturday, July 25 from 8:30am-4:00pm. Advance registration is $90.00, or $75 for students and seniors.
