(KPLR) – The family of new born baby is struggling to find away to save their child’s life. Courtney Robles and Josh Werner baby Evalynn Werner was born on May 2nd of this year. Since that birth the parents have found out that their daughter has a Deep Contour Hemangioma with a tumor growth underneath. The tumor has grown into the size of nickel protruding from her chest.

The family’s doctor says this is the first case in the U.S. in 15 years.

The doctor recommended that the tumor be removed as soon as possible, but that’s turned out to be easier said than done, since there is no specialist for this in the State of Missouri.

The family will travel to Wisconsin for the surgery.

But for now the family is dealing with insurance issues because the operation will be performed out of state.

Friends and family have set up a gofundme page.
