Police: Standoff in south city ends; no arrests made

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – An armed man barricaded himself inside his south city home late Friday morning, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said.

According to Schron Jackson, a police spokeswoman, the standoff began around 10:45 a.m. in the 4900 block of Pernod Avenue, near S. Kingshighway Boulevard.

Police were told the man in the home had a number of weapons and refused to come outside. The SWAT Team was called to the scene.

Jackson said police secured the home without incident. No one was arrested.
