Circle K gas station robbed in Fairview Heights

CIRLCE K_1FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL (KPLR) – Authorities in Fairview Heights are looking for a man who donned a ski mask and robbed a local gas station over the weekend.

According to Lt. Mike Hoguet, a spokesman for the Fairview Heights Police Department, the robbery occurred just before 2:35 a.m. on Sunday, June 13 at the Circle K in the 10400 block of Lincoln Highway.

The suspect walked into the gas station brandishing a pistol and demanded cash and cigarettes. He fled the area on foot. No one was injured in the robbery.

Police described the suspect as an African-American man with a slim build in his mid-20s. He was last seen wearing a striped beanie and ski mask, a white shirt over a black t-shirt, black shorts and black tennis shoes.
