(KPLR) – This week the Illinois legislature tangled with Governor Rauner’s administration over his decision to pay a staffer a quarter million dollars. On Thursday the House Human Services Committee questioned why the salary for the new staffer, the education secretary, who is being paid out the Department of Human Services budget that the governor has targeted for cuts in programs for the elderly and autistic children.
