EDWARDSVILLE, IL (KPLR) – A 23-year-old Jerseyville man was arrested Monday for allegedly pulling up next to an Alton school bus and exposing himself to the driver and others aboard the vehicle, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to Captain T. Mike Dixon, sheriff’s spokesman, the incident happened at the intersection of Godfrey Road and Homer Adams Parkway around 8:30 a.m.

The bus driver informed a sheriff’s deputy that she was stopped at the light on Godfrey Road when she noticed a Jeep had pulled into the turn lane next to the bus. The man behind the wheel of the Jeep was nude and masturbating. He was smiling and making eye contact with the bus driver.

Two other people on the bus, a student and a bus monitor, corroborated the allegation.

Investigators linked the Jeep to Adam Baumgartner.

Baumgartner was arrested that afternoon at his apartment in the 700 block of Liberty Street and charged with public indecency. He posted $100 bond and was released later the same day.
