Ballwin man charged in police pursuit and shooting

BALLWIN, MO (KPLR) – The man arrested for randomly firing shots from his vehicle and starting a police pursuit in Ballwin has been charged. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued a warrant with 9 counts against 34-year-old Michael V. Pona II of Ballwin.

He’s been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, assault 2nd, leaving the scene of an accident, felony resisting arrest and assault 3rd.

Pona is being held on a combined bond of $150,000.
