Blues lose game 1 of playoff series, 4-2

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) — The Minnesota Wild beat the St. Louis Blues, 4-2 in game one of their playoff series Thursday night at Scottrade Center.

The Wild scored early in the first period, and again in the second period.

Jaden Schwartz made it 2-1 Wild midway through the third period.   Under 2 minutes to go, the Blues pulled goalie Jake Allen,  but Mikael Granlund added an empty-netter just 7 seconds later, making it 3-1 Wild.

Alexander Steen then scored on a short-handed goal with 58.7 seconds left to make it 3-2.

The Blues pulled their goalie again, and Jason Pominville scored another empty-netter with 20 seconds left to clinch the win for Minnesota.

Game 2 of the series is Saturday afternoon in St. Louis.
