FERGUSON, MO (KPLR) – Tuesday night the Ferguson City Council is slated to meet at 7 pm to discuss the temporary hiring of a City Manager. The agenda shows that a resolution is to be presented at the meeting to temporarily make current Assistant City Manager Pam Hylton interim City Manager.

The appointment comes after former City Manager John Shaw resigned after a scathing Justice Department report showed a pattern of racial discrimination in the police department, racist emails and bias in the municipal court.

The DOJ report was the findings of the department following an investigation into the fatal shooting Michael Brown last summer.
