ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – Scientist from all over the western hemisphere have gather in St. Louis with the single focus of saving bat populations. In recent year’s conservationist have seen a decline in bat populations, and are warning of consequences to the environment if we don’t save the species.
The three-day convention is being held in downtown St. Louis to discuss and share ideas on saving bats. Many believe the decline in bat populations is due to man-made causes.
One idea suggested is to put bat house in your backyard as a way to keep bugs away in the summer time, and keep the bats from roosting in your house
