SHILOH/ O'FALLON, IL (KTVI)- Illinois drivers faced major traffic delays Friday morning after a fuel truck overturned on westbound I-64 near Shiloh. Police say the truck hit a guardrail and rolled over around 2:00a.m. The driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators are unsure of what caused the accident. Emergency crews controlled access to the area during the morning commute.
Authorities said there was no immediate hazard to the public.
After being closed for nearly eight hours, the westbound lanes are now open.
