BRENTWOOD, MO (KPLR) - One Brentwood business owner is missing a truckload of steaks stolen by an employee.

The problems started when an employee showed up for work last Wednesday and took a lot more than a lunch break.

According to Brentwood police an employee of Iowa Steaks in the 8100 block of Brentwood Industrial Court stole the goods. The company sent the worker on a delivery on January 7th with a truck packed with expensive Omaha Steaks valued well into the thousands. The employee simply left and never came back. The truck was found days later in a remote part of Jefferson County minus the meat.

The employee can face felony charges of auto theft and theft of merchandise. Police have not released the name of the worker and so far there`s no word on his location.
