WATERLOO, Ill. - A Waterloo teenager’s life-giving decision has become a point of pride for her family.

Sixteen-year-old Abby Lynn Cecena was killed in a car accident in August 2012. Just months prior Abby’s death, she expressed to her mother a passion for organ donation.

Though wracked with heartache and grief, Abby’s family followed through on her wishes and donated her organs and tissue, and in doing so, not only saved lives, but brought a great comfort.

Christine Buck talks with Tammy and Madison Cecena, Abby’s mother and sister, about the family’s story.
