ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - Local middle and high school students learn ballet and diverse choreography from teaching artists with renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem thanks to Dance St. Louis' Monsanto Dance Education Residency Program.

The three-week residency program provides a unique opportunity for students to further their learning, understanding and experience of African-American history, culture and dance.

The residency teaches students choreography, ranging from ballet, including a work from Dance Theatre of Harlem’s repertoire, to hip hop and choreography representing the African Diaspora.
