Uber experiences growing pains during NLCS

ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – ''Uber'' launched its ’’black service app'' last Thursday, but left a lot of customers ''in the dark' this past weekend.

Uber acts as the liaison between the rider and the driver of a luxury sedan or SUV. The problem is that there are 119 luxury sedans registered in the St. Louis market according to the taxi cab commission. That's compared to 1300 cabs. This past weekend was proof there is demand for Uber.

Uber’s general manager said that with any business there in going to be "a ramp up."

He ensures Uber is very focused on supply and demand and it was already ramped up over the last year.

He also said, they had people ready to on launch day, but they were "early adopters."  Those are drivers and companies that already have confidence in Uber the company. Unfortunately there weren't enough.  The taxi cab commission is monitoring Uber's demand and if it continues you will see more entrepreneurs starting up sedan driving companies.
