ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Some students at Vashon High School said they’ve had enough of substitute teachers and they have no principal.

Dozens of students walked out in protest Friday morning following an announcement by Principal Terry Houston that he was resigning.   Houston said he was leaving for personal reasons.

Students stood across the street from the school holding signs and claiming they were in a poor education environment.   Many chanted “no more subs.”

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports a new principal should be named by Monday.

Students did eventually return to school after speaking with Superintendent Kelvin Adams and Senator Jamilah Nasheed.
