ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- One of America's most celebrated haunted house attractions will be open to the public on Friday, September 19th.

FOX 2's Lisa Hart is live in Soulard at The Darkness Haunted House, with a preview of what's sure to be a terrifying experience.

The Darkness Haunted House is located in downtown St. Louis near Broadway Avenue and Carol Street. The haunted house is next to Soulard Market and the Soulard Market Apartments.

Its evil step-sister attractions, Creepyworld in Fenton and The Abyss at the Lemp Brewery, are set to debut on Friday, September 26th.

The Darkness opens for the season on Friday, September 19th, from 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. It also operates during those hours on Saturday, September 20th, Friday, September 26th, and Saturday, September 27th.

It will be open nightly from October 3rd through November 1st.

On Halloween night, The Darkness will be open from 6:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.

Tickets prices are $25 for adults and $23 for children under 11.

Speed Passes can be purchased for an additional $5 online or $10 at the door.

Combination tickets grouping two or all three of the Scarefest haunts also are available.

Tickets may be purchased on line and printed at home.

Discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more also are available.
