ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- A somber milestone. Thursday, September 11, 2014 marks the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Observances will be held across the country, including here in the metro area.

The Art Hill tribute started in 2010 when Rick Randall and Larry Eckhart came got together to put all of the flags on Art Hill in remembrance of those who lost their lives on September 11th.

On Wednesday night and into Thursday morning 684 flags were placed to represent the 6840 military personnel who have lost their lives since the 9/11 attacks.

"Under One Flag" is the story of how one American Flag from St. Louis connected three 9/11 heroes.
