ST. LOUIS (KPLR) – St. Louis City Police have been looking for a man who made a daring escape from a local mental health facility.

According to police they are looking for 27-year-old Greg Akisson. He’s wanted for what investigators are calling “Escape from Commitment” The search started just after 4pm on Sunday while Akisson was a patient at the Malcolm Bliss State Hospital. That’s when an employee says Akisson scaled a 20-foot downspout onto a roof at the hospital. Once on the roof he ran and the worker says they could not see how he escaped from the high drop of the building. Homeowners like Terry Cacciatore say they are worried about the incident.

“This is the first time I have ever heard of that and its surprising and disconcerting, I am glad they are putting out a bulletin. I hope they find him it sounds like he obviously needs of a lot of help. Hopefully before he hurts himself or god forbid somebody else. It’s scary.” Said Cacciatore

Police also say that Akisson’s last known address was in the 1000 block of Commodore in Richmond Heights.
