(KPLR) - A stationary front is wobbling across the area thanks to a Low pressure system.  The moisture has been in place most of the day, and now the energy is steadily arriving.  Rain and thunderstorms will increase across the area.  The first bout will be isolated thundershower activity into the evening and may cause a delay at the ball park for the Red Sox vs Cardinal game.  Showers and thunderstorms will be more widespread after midnight into midday on Thursday.  Rainfall amounts for the metro area should be 1" to 2" by Thursday evening.  Organized rain will exit the area and temperatures will dip into the low 80s for highs the next couple days.
