Bicyclist struck by semi near Tucker and Convention

ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - A bicyclist was struck by a semi near Tucker and Convention Wednesday morning.  The accident happened around 12:15 a.m.  Police say the bicyclist was hurt but his injuries are minor.  It is unclear how the bicyclist and semi collided.

The 43-year-old cyclist was knocked off of his bike and taken to a hospital for treatment.

He is in stable condition.

The driver of the semi did not appear to be hurt.  He stopped, was questioned by police and given permission to leave the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
