WENTZVILLE, MO (KPLR) – The Wentzville GM plant is gearing up for an announcement on Thursday that will see the plant building GM’s next generation of mid-sized trucks.

The 2015 Chevy Colorado and the GMC Canyon made their auto show debut earlier this year.

The Wentzville plant will be the only one in the country to build the models.

Plant officials will announce the production milestone and what the addition of the lines means for the facility.

Production will start later this year.
