BUNKER, MO (KPLR) – Trouble at Doe Run’s mine near Bunker Missouri is causing concern for residents in the Reynolds County. Workers at the mine are in process of closing the mine, when a crack in the roof of mine developed, causing water from Black River to enter the mine.

Residents are worried that water from the mine could contaminate their wells. Others are concerned over sinkholes in the area and a cemetery that could be swallowed up by the flooding mine.
