ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - Three people are hospitalized after their throats were slashed in an attack Tuesday morning in south St. Louis.

One of the victims was also shot.  Authorities say all three victims, two men and a woman, were taken to the hospital and are said to be in serious but stable condition.

It all started around 1:30 a.m. in an apartment on Michigan at Osceola. The first victim that officers found was a man who had been stabbed and shot.  The apparently tried to get away and was discovered in a nearby alley.

Then authorities found the other two victims.  The victims had bandages around their necks and the second male victim also had a bandage on his head.

Investigators say the three victims were inside an upstairs apartment when on woman and two men came over. The violence then started.  The woman was reportedly armed with a butcher knife and the two men had guns.

No one is in custody, but police say one of the victims knows the woman who was allegedly involved in the attack.

There is no word on a motive for the violence.
