Last year five rabid bats were found in St. Louis County.

Any county resident who comes across a live or dead bat in their home is urged to call the health department.

Residents should also check with their vet to make sure your pets have updated rabies vaccinations.

When you find any animal which is doing anything out side its normal habit,I.E. a bat moving about in the daytime, leave it alone and get away from it.A lot of the time it’s sick.
