ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) - May is Cystic Fibrosis awareness month. We're shining a spotlight on the illness.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a complex, chronic disease that affects different parts of the body, especially the lungs and digestive system. The type and severity of CF symptoms can differ widely from person to person.

    I lost my mother to CF in 1997 at 41 years old. She had a double lung transplant in 1990 and lived 7 wonderful years cause she could breath.R.I.P.
