VIRDEN, IL (KPLR) – Copper thieves are causing trouble for high speed rail construction in Illinois. Two men are facing charges for making off with $10,000 of copper wiring over the Easter weekend was to be used for upgrading railroad tracks for high speed trains between St. Louis to Chicago.
