Culture clash lands one man in jail

ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) – Is it a clash of cultures in or a blatant act of breaking the law?

Noble Yahudah Ben Ysrael was in court today for a pre-trial hearing for a traffic violation of driving with a revoked license. even though he was born in this country he says he is not a U.S. citizen but a citizen of the United Nation Of Yisrael. This is an organization of African-Americans who contend their descent from slavery grants them status as a sovereign state along with exemption from some laws.

His real name is Clarence Holmes and that is the name used in the charges. he’ll be facing a jury trial later this month and is acting as his own attorney.
