WELLSTON, MO (KPLR) – For the second time in as many months supporters of the struggling Normandy School District take a trip to Jefferson City. They are determined to get the attention of lawmakers.
About 200 supporters of the unaccredited district filled school buses, Tuesday morning. They headed to the capitol hoping to push lawmakers and the department of elementary and secondary education to give the district several million dollars. They say they need it to recover after it was drained financially by the transfer program.
But there are some questions as to who paid for the transportation of the supporters to Jefferson City.
