ST. LOUIS, MO (KPLR) – A slick new ad campaign is trying to draw more foreign tourists to the area.
The Post-Dispatch reports the aim is to get more foreign tourists to linger in St. Louis While following old Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles. These trips already are popular with German and British visitors.
The ad campaign will roll out next month on YouTube and travel sites in Canada, Mexico and the UK. About 87,000 tourists from those countries visited the metro last year.
